How-to disable IE Enhanced Security

If you see the below message when you launch Internet Explorer on Windows Home Server, the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is enabled, and you’ll want to follow these steps to disable it.

To disable IE Enhanced Security Configuration:

  1. Logon to your Windows Home Server Administrator Desktop
  2. Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Add / Remove Programs

  3. Click on Add / Remove Windows Components ( See above photo)
  4. Scroll down to Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration and uncheck the box. (See below photo)

  5. Click Next and then let the wizard complete the uninstall, and click Finish, and IE ESC is no longer installed on Windows Home Server.

    How very odd, I was just starting to look on how to do this. I was building another website to use with WHS in the early morning hours and the answer just appeared!
